Tania Atkinson is an experienced children's writer whose work has been featured on radio and television over the years. Her books include Pelorus Jack: the story of New Zealand's famous Dolphin, Collins, Auckland, 1984 (reprinted 1984, new edition 1995) and Mackenzie and his Dog, Hazard Press, Christchurch, 1993. Tania has been a high school English teacher and a research librarian at the Toitu Otago Settlers Museum, Dunedin and the Alexander Turnball library, Wellington. Today she lives in Greytown. Viv Walker, who is a graduate of Norwich School of Art, England, has illustrated three successful picture books.
