Product Information

Pamela Stainton sees life as a series of journeys and she is embarking on a new one as a writer for children.

Working with children as an educator in the area of Primary Education she saw a gap in ways to learn punctuation for younger children, this was either done in an unimaginative way or was too sophisticated for them.

One day the name of Miss Punk-Chewation came to mind and the idea of the letters misbehaving. The story and illustrations grew from there.

Realising that teachers could do with some worksheets to use along with the book, these were designed as well for a follow up activity.

However, the story is written in such a way as to be useful for any adult to share with their whanau (family) or friends.

Pamela Stainton has worked in the field of Education throughout her working life as a classroom teacher and later as a Reading Recovery and Literacy Support teacher.

Originally from Inglewood, Taranaki she now resides in Wellington (Te Whanganui-a-Tara), New Zealand.

She thinks that all learning should be fun and says that it was also fun to do the illustrations as well as the text.

Pamela hopes to publish other books and has many ideas already.
