DescriptionA heart-warming family story, ideal for children practising their reading at home or in school. Little Bear lives with Daddy Bear at weekends, and usually they play games like Monster Chase and Dad-is-a-Big-Climbing-Frame. But today, all Daddy Bear is doing is tap-tap-tapping on his keyboard. Waiting is so boring! Can Little Bear convince him to play? This charming story from Dawn McNiff is perfect for children who are learning to read by themselves. It features illustrations from Andy Rowland and explores a topic many young children will relate to. Author descriptionDawn McNiff was born by the sea in Sussex and now lives in Gloucestershire. She has an MA in Writing for Young People from Bath Spa University and has worked as a bereavement counsellor, a copywriter, a teaching assistant, a children's book seller and best of all as a mummy. Dawn is the author of How Not to Be Weird and With Love from Alfie McPoost, The Best Dog Ever. Andy Rowland has always loved drawing. One of his earliest memories is of his dad bringing home reams of scrap paper from the from the printers for him to use because he went through so much. Andy went on to study Illustration at Manchester Metropolitan University, where he won the Macmillan prize for the design and illustration of a children's book. Since then he has illustrated over one hundred children's books. |
