Description

Artemis Fowl receives an urgent e-mail from Russia. In it is a plea from a man who has been kidnapped by the Russian Mafiya: his father. As Artemis rushes to his rescue, he is stopped by a familiar nemesis, Captain Holly Short of the LEPrecon Unit. Now, instead of battling the fairies, Artemis must join forces with them if he wants to save one of the few people in the world he loves.

Author description

Eoin Colfer was born and raised in Wexford in the south-east of Ireland. He began writing plays at an early age and, as an adult, continued to write. Artemis Fowl, his first book featuring the brilliant young anti-hero, was an immediate international bestseller and won several prestigious awards. Adapted by Andrew Donkin, an enormously experienced graphic novelist and the author of over forty books for adults and children, including Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight for DC Comics.
