Description

A little boy tries to find a pot of parent glue to stick his mum and dad back together. His parents have come undone and he wants to mend their marriage, stick their smiles back on and make them better. This rhyming story is brilliantly told with a powerful message that even though his parents may be broken, their love for him is not.

Reviews

"An incredibly powerful book about a boy coming to terms with his parents' divorce: a difficult subject treated with a wonderfully light touch. I'm a huge Lee Wildish fan and think he's definitely a name to watch for the future. I defy you to read this without a lump in your throat." - Kate Skipper, Waterstones Buyer Lee Wildish's illustrations are lovely. The characters have a rough charm that really draws you in - there are hints of Quentin Blake's ink drawings, but Wildish's style is very much of its own. - Bookbag An excellent book aimed squarely at young children. - Nursery World A touching tale that resonates with empathy and poignancy. - Junior A touching, tender book. - Angels & Urchins While the text carries the message, the pictures contribute significantly to this excellent story. - Carousel
